Romney 2012

America borrows approximately
36 cents per every federal dollar that is spent. Scary.
And did you know that after continual promises of "hope," "change," and "reclaiming the American dream" -
Obama has actually increased the number of unemployed persons to almost 13 million Americans?!
In its May economic release, the government reported the unemployment rate
as a consistent and unchanging 8.2%.
I don't see any "hope" and "change" in that.

There are less jobs since Obama moved into the white house,
health insurance costs have increased nearly 25%-
not to mention the cost of gas rising 90 cents during his presidency-
and national debt has gone through the roof!
$6.3 trillion dollars of debt was stockpiled by the first 43 presidents-
but $6.5 trillion has been added in Obama's only, one term of presidential office.
It's no wonder why I'm skeptical of giving him another (reckless) term.

Romney has my stamp of approval.
Why?
Let's take a glance at his experience, stance, and character.

First, Romney is a businessman.
He is an expert with economics and a fond supporter of free enterprise.
As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney flipped a $3 billion dollar budget deficit into a surplus-
WITHOUT raising taxes.
By placing Romney in Washington, we know he will reduce military spending,
eliminate costly programs, and relax the current federal regulations of small business owners.
Romney doesn't mess around.
Among his primary donors are no other than American banks-
including Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and J.P. Morgan.
Why are the "deep pockets" supporting this candidate?
Because like me, they have confidence that Mitt Romney is the one to make things happen,
the man "believing in America."

Romney has a plan.
He is against national debt-
and in favor of economic freedom.
We can rest assured that with his foreign policy plan,
Romney will not be so quick to justify policing other countries.
It is the time of global economy, is it not?!
Which is why every country and every continent have interest to the United States of America-
Romney will think twice about spending billions to aid countries whose manufacturers are costing us unemployment of our own and leaving us jobless!
He has an energy plan that safeguards our environment,
but also preserves our jobs.

He is a man of high standards.
There is honor and patriotism in a life led with such high moral values.
Mitt Romney has the charisma and energy of Obama-
But is consistent and fearless.
He is a leader like no other,
A leader who accepts challenges-
and has proven to tackle them head on.
What other presidential candidate can we put full faith in,
knowing that they have lived a life of such personal integrity and morality,
that no questions have been asked?
He is STRONG.
And has proven time and time again that he is the man for the job.

Who will I be voting for in this upcoming election?
Who else?!
Mitt Romney!!

  1. "unemployed persons to almost 90 million working age Americans" are you kidding me? this is just made up propaganda that would be 1/4 of americans. I bet you dont even know 9 people in your life right that are of age to work that unemployed. also gas isnt controlled by any president republican or democrate.and here im adding links something you should do before making suck bold claims. The healthcare part is just pull out of thin air too, that doesn't go into effect till 2014 where it cuts out private companies that can charge you through the roof and drop your coverage once you actually get sick, plus look at canada they have a universal heath care system and if you where to flight to canada you could get treated over there have it be cheaper than if you stayed in your local town, the healthcare thing should be a no brainer for either party. Plus Mitt was for a universal heath care (and yes i added a link of him saying it) until the debates, he did it in Massachusetts for christ sake. Im not even that liberal but you really make your side look bad when you just make false and unsupported claims like this.

    1. Jakub- thanks for the comment. As for the "90 million Americans" its a stat that includes all working age Americans, so I am assuming it entails teenage years and up. But obviously that is misleading, so I changed to a more blunt stat. Sorry for the miscommunication! As for healthcare, I didn't go into details because it's a whole new topic itself. However, healthcare costs HAVE gone up. And yes, of course Mitt has a universal health care system! I know that. I actually did not say anything against Obama care, however, Mitt's is not quite the same. If you haven't heard Mitt's plan, I suggest you refer to this short description here: http://www.mittromney.com/issues/health-care. In short, Mitt's plan excludes the $500 billion dollar tax increase that is included in Obama's plan. And just so you know- I have good family friends that actually moved from Canada to get health care HERE, in the U.S. Why? Because he was diagnosed with cancer, placed on a waiting list, and after waiting for a year and still not being able to get surgery, came to the U.S. Interesting, right? He is just one example. And as with many programs, of course there will be pros and cons. Thank you for your links! I hope you share any more thoughts you have. Cheers!

    2. Jakub mel's comment makes me upset. "I bet you dont even know 9 people in your life right that are of age to work that unemployed"-- Seriously? What is this supposed to accomplish? Please make arguments geared toward the subject, not toward someone else! This is a discussion of POLITICS. I will answer your assumption: I do know MORE than 9 of age that are unemployed. 2. I disagree with your analysis of Mitt Romney because I think the numbers that you are using, while correct, are only half explained.
One of your biggest criticisms seems to be that Obama has caused the national debt to explode with reckless spending. Let's examine this. It is a fact that under Obama the national debt has risen. But this should be expected. Whenever there is a recession, tax revenue drops because there are fewer and lower wages to tax. This means there is a loss in revenue. At the same time, the government has to spend more because government spending turns recessions around. The health of the market is determined by sufficient demand. If the government spends more money, then demand picks up and the multiplier effect slowly helps the economy to recover. You even see the same pattern in the national debt while Reagan was president during the early 1980s. So the increase in the national is normal and expected.
The fact that the increase in the budget is so extreme is truly what you are trying to get at here. I would offer that the reason we have seen such a large increase in the national debt is simply because the government is now require to spend so much more money to see a sufficient multiplier effect and thus dig the economy out of the mud. With our borders being so porous and open to trade, allowing for the proliferation of Wal-Marts and other such outlets for cheap imported goods, the money we would expect to see going to build local, American jobs is instead being sent back overseas. If our economy were more protected, we would not have to spend as much money to get the multiplier effect and we would have more jobs at home. One of the reasons Mitt Romney is bad for us is because he is a big proponent of free trade. Opening the economy up further is not going to help. It will only create more competition between local and foreign workers which will have the effect of lowering wages and importing more foreign goods rather than domestic ones. These policies would ruin us.
You also say that Obama has decreased overall employment in the economy. Taken at face value, this may seem like a fair criticism. However, if you look at the monthly trend of job growth, Obama has actually presided over a period of recovery. More jobs have been added than lost every month but one. What else could we expect? He is a president that inherited a recession from Bush. With his election, the unemployment rate wasn’t just going to drop back to 4 or 5 percent. The fact that we are now gaining jobs back shows that we have passed the trough and are now an expanding economy. Again, if you are trying to say that recovery under Obama hasn’t been dramatic enough, you must understand that this is because of the structure of the economy in which we now live. There is not sufficient demand to restore the economy to where we previously were (and where we previously were was a huge bubble). A republican president that considers labor a cost and not a necessary component of the economy will not act to raise wages. If wages cannot rise, we won’t be able to pull ourselves out of the new “era of high unemployment” that we are now living.
I may not agree with everything that Obama has said or done, but he has been a great president. And he has tried very hard to fight for the structural changes that need to be made in our economy in order for us to change. Unfortunately, as our society becomes more polarized and it becomes more obvious that irreconcilable opposing interests exist in our economy, it is has been very difficult to bring about any change at all. It is a wonderful thing that a Morman is finally running for president, but he just isn’t the right person for the job. His economic policies would reverse the recovery we have made and his social policies are just inexcusable.

    1. Thank you for your explanation! However, I do understand our economy, the up and down trends of recession, and the natural period of recovery. My skepticism doesn't just lie there- or simply with the national debt. Obama has put SO MUCH MONEY into companies that have supported him before his presidency (and of course in others)- that have unfortunately gone bankrupt and have cost us billions of dollars and thousands of workers. This is the blunt of my concern, that Obama does not have the economical background to make those kinds of decisions. Of course there will be companies going out of business and losing workers. But Obama has made it a trend and this is where my skepticism lies. Yes, the government must spend more to turn around the recession. But this recession started end of 2007, and still in 2012, we have tacked on trillions? I find it hard to believe this is necessary, as is the other trillions that Obama plans to spend if he gets another term in Washington. My opinion is that if someone else-someone with an economical plan that has worked before-comes into play, here we will be spending less. Enough to turn the tide, sure, but spending less. Am I silly to vote for that?

As for the month to month job trend, it is true jobs have been added. However, there is job declination as well. And that is why the government's monthly "employment situation summary" (that's what they call them) reports little to no change with unemployment, staying at a consistent 8.2%. You asked what more can we expect- I expect a lot better. I agree with you, though, that it would be foolish to believe in a 4-5% drop in the unemployment rate.

Obama "has tried very hard to fight for the structural changes that need to be made in our economy" - very true. But I do believe Romney is right person for the job- not Obama.

    2. I forgot...gas prices! This is such a heated topic right now! Is Obama to blame for high gas prices? So many people are on the fence about this. In the least, here is what I think: domestic gas prices/production has increased not necessarily because of Obama, but he does little to change the fact. I know he is in a tight spot because there are tensions with Iran and more demand in China. Intense! So the option is really to increase U.S. production of energy. Truth of the matter is that the administration has done little to reduce oil prices and there are legitimate options to do so! One option is to lower gas and oil use to therefore protect against higher prices. Point is, Obama is not the primary one at fault here. But what he can do, he can do much better.

    3. We have added on several billion, but as I said, this would be expected by any president in this situation. Even if Romney gets elected, he too will have to add on debt just because of the nature of the budget and the situation. Saying he has wasted billions is also not really true. With such a porous economy, money at a larger magnitude has to be spent to see a recovery. We get a much smaller return from the multiplier effect since the borders are so open to international trade and competition. It also should be noted that the unemployment rate dropped from 11 odd percent to 8.2% which is a fairly sizable drop. You just can't have it every way. If you expect the economy to change, you have to be willing to spend money. That isn't reckless, it's simple economic truth. I think people are frustrated because they see spending and then the Republicans act as if they have never heard of how to recover from a recession and claim this spending is reckless. I really can't stress how much it is not. Balancing the budget would be great, but that's not something you can do during a recession. And cutting necessary programs would lower government expenditure, but it would make the economy less robust because it would eliminate the recovered demand.

As far as oil goes, the price of oil is set by no man, but by markets. There has been a lot of legislation in Congress recently trying to address this problem. However, the proposed pipeline from Canada was set to export most of that oil to China and tapping into the SPR, which would lower market price some, is a risky, precedent-setting move that both sides of the isle are hesitant to embrace. So yes, things could have been done. But the only legitimate channel that could have addressed this has been doing it the wrong way. So this can't be attributed to Obama either.

      Delete
    4. I actually meant to say "we have added on several trillion". Just wanted to clarify.

      Delete
    5. Yes, I agree with you on our oil situation. In fact, I did say Obama cannot be blamed for this, didn't I?! I am not an expert with the Canadian pipeline- but I have read various opinions on our current oil production and have gathered my own opinion that the Obama administration does have SOME control, but are choosing to do little. Like I said, there is much stress from Iran and it's hard to form a decision that will help both our relations and the everyday American. It's a really tough spot for Obama. So we can agree that this is not directly Obama's fault at all- though the way I see it is what he can do, he can do better.

And just for clarification, I never said Obama has ruined every penny he touched, per say. America is in a huge mess- and of course Obama is not the entire cause! Despite what many people think, I believe politicians don't have to be all about breaking promises. He's just replaying Jimmy Carter's role back in 1976. Romney won't fix everything instantaneously. However, I truly belief he is a better fit for the job at hand!

    1. I am really glad you posted this link. It is very eye opening! I hope I am right in this synopsis: Obama really did inherit mass spending from Bush, but Obama has committed to big spending in the future? So just to play devil's advocate, is Obama really any better than Bush?? I honestly want to know your thoughts!

      Delete
    2. Well, from an economic standpoint, Bush was a complete disaster. He spent all sorts of money we didn't need to spend, added on expensive expansions and cut back taxes far too much. He dedicated us to two wars with little plan of getting out of either. This happened for the most part during a time of relative prosperity and expansion. Sound economics would dictate that you decrease spending and increase taxes during an expansion. So his spending would be what I would call reckless, because although he intended well, it was neither necessary nor prudent. Obama should be expected to spend a lot simply because recessions cost a lot of money. So I wouldn't really say they are comparable because each president presided over a different type of economy in which the rules of the game are different. Only, Obama follows the rules and Bush really did not.

      Delete
    3. Bush is a whole other story! I am guessing you assume I am a republican because I am voting for Mitt? And therefore I supported Bush? Not the case! This may surprise you but I am registered as independent! And I was for Obama. Not the case anymore, as you can see. To be honest, though, I think Bush was in a really hard spot during his stay in the white house. But amen to what you said- "each president presided over a different type of economy in which the rules of the game are different." Very true! Times change. The time HAS changed- and therefore we need a president that CAN preside over the changed economy and the changed rules to the game.

  4. I think your points are really great, Beth. And while I don't think we should blame every problem on Obama (because situations arise, and most of his team has to share the blame as well), i do think it would be wise of us to give someone else the chance to fix things. I feel that while our representatives may do much to influence our country, it is the American people that need to change. More focus on family, less on stuff. More service, and more faith in God. More frugality and simplicity in our own lives if we expect those who represent us to act in prudence. Starting with me! Love you, Beth!

The truth of the upcoming Election is simply presented in your post, and I hope that many will see this, and come to a stronger understanding and realization of where we are headed and make a resolution to contribute to the true "change" and "hope" that America needs-and that means get Obama out of the White House!

  8. This may sound a little simplistic, but the old adage "If it's not broke, why fix it?" has an opposite mantra--"IF IT IS BROKE, FIX IT!" Things aren't working better in the government(like SOMEBODY promised), so it's time to get another person in there to have a shot at helping America out of the many financial, economical, political problems we're experiencing. So whether or not someone is right-wing or left-wing, pro-Obama or pro-Romney, religious or not, it's time for CHANGE....so the answer is obvious! Vote in another guy!

  9. Great media pieces in the post! I think that the issues in this election year are extremely complex. Whoever ends up in Washington will need to sort out a heap of issues. I like Romney and will probably vote for him. I guess I just trust him as a person (even though I don't know him personally). I have waited to see Obama deliver on his campaign promises and haven't been impressed. I might not be able to say more for Romney, though, if he gets elected. I agree with the idea that Romney has more practical government experience with the issues facing our nation than Obama. But then, we will have to see how those who have been elected to work with the President decide to act or not act. Thanks for putting this together.

  10. We are definitely in sore need of some new ideas coming out of the White House. I think the fact that Mitt Romney is a businessman- and Barack Obama is not, judging by our current national financial situation and loss of jobs during his tenure- is a huge indicator of what we need for a president. There is nothing more terrifying than ignorance in action, and although Obama hasn't done anything that deserves full-on censure, he also is not what we need for a leader, let alone president of our country. It is true that he inherited certain things from the Bush administration, but that doesn't give him the right to pour gasoline on the flames burning down the house of our freedom. Raising taxes is not the answer to help us. It's as though we are drowning in an ocean of our own sweat, and he raises the sea level thinking that will help our country. OUR COUNTRY IS OUR PEOPLE! If our people are being weighed down, you can bet our country is too. If you want to help the working man and woman, you don't raise the cost of living! Bottom line- Obama doesn't care about the average American. He isn't running for office to help America, he's running for office to help himself. WE DO NOT NEED HIM IN THE WHITE HOUSE! WE NEVER DID! How about we help ourselves out? How about we quit extolling the virtues of Obama, and find someone who not only knows what he's doing, but will do what we need him to do? I think you are right on! Thank goodness someone is standing up ! Keep it coming!

  11. Beth - I agree completely with your post! Although I do think some of the points people made in your comments are true (to an extent at least), I do not think they are entirely thought through. I believe Obama, though cannot be blamed completely for every problem that has or will arise, came in to office with too little experience and expectations he was unable to meet. I think Romney may not be the perfect candidate, if there even is such a thing, but I do believe he is what our country needs at this point in time. He has the experience and I believe he will take action in ways our country really needs. He will be getting my vote this coming election as well.

    2. I actually thought that plvs_vltra expanded on the issue much more truthfully, thoughtfully and thoroughly than did the original post, which was just a few misleading stats and then some opinion. The fact of the matter is that the unemployment rate has been going down steadily and most economists agree that our economy is recovering.

Read down your list under "Romney has a plan" and tell me one where Obama differs. He hasn't been inconsistent and fearful, and I have no idea why anyone would consider Romney more moral than Obama (well I can, but I don't like to attribute motivations). Obama would love to decrease the deficit but doing so would kill growth. Romney's certainly not going to do so.

Yes, Obama made some campaign promises that he didn't live up to, just like Romney is doing now and has done in the past. Every politician does. For me personally, Obama has made it so that I can serve in the military, is the first president to declare his support of my constitutional right to get married, and is a figurehead for intellectualism, which our last President and the Republican party have been waging war against. Also, he supports giving women the right to choose what happens to their own bodies and will choose supreme court justices that will do the same. These are some of the most important issues for me, so I'll be voting for Obama.

      Delete
    3. My post is just a few misleading facts?! Well, that's quite ironic coming from you, who thinks that "most economists agree that our economy is recovering." Now, THAT is misleading!! And it's also very broad. There are pros and cons to every politician, just as there are pros and cons to their policies. Let's look at Obama and economists, since you brought up the subject. Maybe you can agree with me that much of "obama economics" comes down to his tax plan and (of course) obamacare. Many economists actually ARGUE with obama's tax plan. Hundreds of economists hate on the president's corporate tax plan and his ideas for foreign earnings tax. The new tax code also benefits some industries over others. But that's just the beginning. And don't even get me started on obamacare! Maybe you want to do some homework before making such a hefty claim. Take my advice and start with the following links:

As for the subject of moral standing, I suggest you take a peak at other comments that have been posted- because many argue with you. Your other reasons for voting for Obama (i.e. gay rights and abortion laws), I cannot intellectually dispute. They are what you believe in! And that's where I draw the line for argumentation. But I will note that I do not stand for these issues and have deep feelings for why I do not.

I so appreciate your opinion and your contribution to my blog! We have differing stances, but I am glad you posted. Cheers!

I'm not swayed by the title of democrat or republican, but more of what each Presidential term will represent for those 4 years. 2. That seems very veiled Katie. I'm curious how Obama has lost moral standing in your eyes.

      Delete
    3. I can answer that one. As we all know, morality is all about ethics- or right vs. wrong. It comes down to our behavior, our daily choices, what we stand for, and our integrity. Someone with a high moral standing is someone honest, conscious of what is right, and will not sway. And Obama is nothing like that. He has lied about his religion by saying he and his family have been Christian- though primary sources and various fact checkers prove that his grandmother is a strong believer of Islamic faith (New York Times interview), he practiced Islam and even registered as Muslim at school and practiced it for years, he blames his earlier drug use on "ethnic confusion," and even his name is arabic (though he had to change it from "Baraka" to "Barack" before running for presidency). Those are just a handful of facts about his character. (See a full list + sources here: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/50lies.asp) But that's not even the end of it! I mean, what about all his lies about writing bills, when he hasn't been the one to even write them, they were rejected by his own party, or he even voted against them himself? (See ethics bill, nuclear bill, economics bill, to name a few.) He has apologized for his wife and for her opinion.

You've heard the phrase "action speaks louder than words"-- but where Obama is concerned, both speak pretty darn loud. His words AND actions contradict one another, time after time after time. Isn't it interesting that when googling his name, one of the very first options that pops up is the word "liar"?! So to answer your question--why has he lost moral standing--that's why. He lies time and time again. He lies to cover up lies.

Politicians don't act alone and I know that. They have their administration. They aren't dictators and therefore can't be blamed for every wrong in the country. They may brake promises that helped them get to Washington in the first place. But Obama is miles ahead of this point. He contradicts his own words, lying about his past, his religion, his experience, his motives. Moral is far from his character.

    4. Love this comment! And I really hope others will read this! You have illustrated Obama's character and I feel that this is a great argument for your stance on his moral standing. I agree with you 100%! Cheers!

  15. Enjoyed blog, references, and posted comments. Trust is an important factor for me in this coming election. Honesty in government will determine my vote, also the elected leader's ability to wisely appoint Supreme Court Justices that uphold the integrity of the constitution.

    1. I love that you brought up the topic of trust! I could read every article and watch every debate on both candidates, but it all really comes down to trust. Thank you for posting!!

  16. Nicely presented (visually). One thing more I would have liked to see is references for the information, especially with all the statistics being thrown around by both sides of the campaign.

However, I think Romney's the better choice too, regardless of Obama's stats. I read his book (No Apologies) a few years ago and I agree with most of what he says. Also, I'm convinced he has more morals and truly believes in America more than most any major politician I'm aware of.

    1. Yes, I agree that Romney is very patriotic! There is no doubt he cares for America and her people. As for my references, they are actually included in my actual blog post. You should see some words that appear blue and will direct you to my sources. Here are some of the websites I used:

  17. I'm glad you feel that Romney will lead us to a better America, but I personally disagree. Rather than sharing my views though, I'd like to help you improve your argument with some helpful criticism.

The references I saw were opinion pieces very biased towards the right. More facts from his campaign would be a plus, not to mention some unbiased view of Obama. I don't believe in Romney and I also don't believe in Obama, concluding that my views are very different from majority of Americans. Some cold hard facts verified by both parties would be great. Also, like others have said, you reveal just part of the argument. Yes, Obama did x, y, and z, but how is Romney going to actually change that? What is he to do about Obamacare? What about military budget is he going to cut? Obama has done a terrible job giving what he promised in 2008 to the people in military cuts, so what is Romney going to do(I want to see numbers, not just opinions)?

This sounds more like a campaign blog for Romney. I'm wondering what the purpose of this posting was. Is it to display facts about a candidate or is it about making the candidate look electable? Your blog posting suggests the latter. If it is about truly critiquing Romney, don't forget to bring up his views on gay marriage, his past views on universal health care, or his views on the NDAA(indefinite detainment of American citizens).

Best of luck with your scholarship. Love you, Beth.

    1. I love how you worded everything- not argumentative, but simply discussion-based. You are great! And I am glad you posted. You gave a lot of great suggestions! As for my purpose in posting (as you asked for), my objective is simply to state who I am voting for and why. Certainly others have reasons for voting for Romney- or Obama- that are different reasons than mine. And I am sure they would have presented it in a different way than I did. Or maybe not! Point is, I wanted to make a somewhat concise post on the general outlook of Romney- and just a handful of reasons why I am not pro-Obama. For me, it wasn't about comparing the two. Or listing EVERY political issue in America and between these parties.

However, my intentions were indeed to be more specific as people commented, addressing different topics as they were brought up. You may have noticed that some of the questions you asked, others have brought up too! This is when I will go into detail about my views and backing them up with numbers and references. hope this helps to make my case- and maybe help clarify my purpose in posting!

      Cheers!

  18. Great post Bethany. I didn't know that Romney was being endorsed by American banks. Sounds pretty trustworthy to me. While I don't know a ton about the election, I do know that debt is bad, and that Obama hasn't really helped us out in this area. I'm sure being President is extremely hard, but that's why presidents need to do as much good as they can while they have the job. Obama has had his chance. I think that it's time that someone else had a turn to try and make some positive changes for America. I agree. Vote Romney.

  19. After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar but never worked as an attorney.

As a venture-capitalist, Romney's first major business deal involved investing in a start-up company with one store in Massachusetts that sold office supplies. That company, called Staples, now has over 2,000 stores and employs over 90,000 people.

Romney or his company Bain Capital (using what became known as the "Bain Way") would go on to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.

Got your calculators handy? Let's recap.

Volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.

Unpaid intern in Governor's office 8 years.

Mormon missionary in Paris 2 years.

Unpaid bishop and state president for his church 10 years.

No salary as president of the Olympics 3 years.

No salary as MA governor 4 years.

That's a grand total of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his community and his church. Why? Because that's the kind of man Mitt Romney is!

And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income....Obama gave 1%

Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%

This is real character vs....well you know what!

Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected, but at least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or squander our money on vacations. I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the "Spending President" has gotten us into. We didn't know that when Obama said he'd give us change, he meant nickels and dimes, and he would get the big bucks. We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney's background has the experience and understanding of the economic system necessary for it to happen if he can get Congress to work with him.

However, on the minus side he never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot. Never got drunk. Did not associate with communists or terrorists. Nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the United States. Oh well, nobody's perfect.
